Police are blocking right-wing Hindu organisations that supportthe Bharatiya Janata Party from entering the campus of Jawaharlal NehruUniversity, where thousands of students have been protesting for days.
Police also arrested a Delhi University lecturer on Tuesday. Bothhe and student leader Kanhaiya Kumar are accused of sedition for participatingin events where slogans were shouted against India and against the 2013 secrethanging of a Kashmiri separatist convicted of an attack on Parliament.
On Monday, mobs of lawyers and BJP supporters attacked studentsoutside the courthouse where Kumar was to appear.
