Johannesburg – The police officer, who was implicated inthe murder of two suspected farm attackers, has been suspended, police said onFriday.

"He has been served with his suspensionletter," said Brigadier Billy


It was not immediately clear how Captain HendrickPrinsloo was involved in the matter, but earlier on Friday he appeared in theParys Magistrate's Court with four other people implicated in themurders.

Their case was postponed to April 15 to allow furtherinvestigations.

All five were out on bail.

Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said themagistrate granted the lengthy postponement to ensure that investigations wereconcluded when the matter returned to court.

"We are confident that we will have theinvestigations completed by then," he said.

The other four accused are Free State farmers AntonLoggerenberg, Boeta van der Westhuizen, as well as father and son JohanCilliers senior and junior.

A farmer from the farm Biesiesbult, near Parys, allegedthat, while he was feeding his dogs last month, two armed men confronted himand demanded R20 000.

The farmer was pistol-whipped, but managed to run intohis house and press a panic button. His attackers ran away.

A group of neighbouring farmers rallied together, trackedand confronted two men – Samuel Tjexa, 35, and Seun Tangasha, in his late 20s –about 8km from Biesiesbult.

The farmers allegedly assaulted Tjexa and Tangasha beforehanding them over to police.

Tjexa was admitted to Parys Provincial Hospital andTangasha to Pelonomi Hospital.

Tangasha was declared dead on arrival and Tjexa diedlater.
