Jakarta – An Indonesian air force plane crashed into a house on Wednesday on the country's main island of Java, killing two people on board and critically injuring a woman in the

He said that the two pilots in the Brazilian-made Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano light attack plane died instantly and that a woman living in the house was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

A neighbour of the woman, Slamet, who witnessed the crash, told MetroTV that the plane appeared to be nose-diving out of control with smoke billowing from its tail when it crashed into the woman's home. Like many Indonesians, Slamet goes by a single name.

An investigation team was sent to the site to determine the cause of the crash, Londong said.

Malang is 850km east of Jakarta, Indonesia's capital.
